Plan for Flying Flags in Belfast

Belfast City Council is set to put forth a plan allowing the Union flag to be flown only on designated days, ending a tradition which began in 1906. A public consultation begins today June 6 and will be voted by Council on November 1. Other ideas set forth are a neutral flag, Union flag along with a Tricolor and no flag.
