Cohr Brolly has asked the Limavady, Co. Derry, council to consider playing “Danny Boy” in the town square every day in its many versions. She, along with her husband Francie, have made a recording of the song and urge others to send their versions and post on YouTube. Limavady is the home of “Danny Boy” and she feels this would be appropriate and go along with Derry’s ‘City of Culture’ in 2013. She said, “It is the most recognizable song in the world.” In Africa, when they heard she was Irish, they started humming “Danny Boy.”
