The ‘wee people ‘ are believed to exist in remote parts of Ireland and Scotland and are gifted with magical powers. They prefer the color red-red hair, red clothes. They are great musicians and the women spin wool.
The Clurichaun is a fairy that lives in the southern part of Ireland. They guard wine cellars and if they are mistreated they will wreck havoc and spoil the wine.
The ‘Grogoch’ live in Co. Donegal, Co. Antrim and the Rathlin Island. They are generous and shy and live in caves or hollows in the hillside. In the northern country there are large leaning stones which are called ‘grogochs’ houses. They will help a farmer with his planting, wanting only a jug of milk for payment. They have reddish fur or hair and are not noted for cleanliness.
