Conway Mill Trust

June 5, 1868 James Connolly was born in Scotland.  He founded the Irish Citizen Army and was asked by Patrick Pearse to assist in the 1916 Rising.  In a statement to his daughter on the eve of his execution he expressed his belief that Britain did not ever have a right to Ireland and thanked God that thousands of men and women were willing to die to attest to that belief.
