The Inishowen Peninsula lies between Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle. It is the northernmost point of Ireland. There are beautiful sandy beaches along the shore and inland there is a mountain region of great beauty. Its most famous historic spot is the Grianan of Ailleach or Stone Place of the Sin.
