Dan McKenna, a 23 year old marathon runner and global banking operations analyst, recently completed the grueling Atacama Crossing in Chile to raise awareness and funds for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by three Irishmen and dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer. The Atacama Crossing is a seven day, six stage 150 mile endurance footrace across the driest desert on the planet. McKenna raised $10,000 for completing the race. Source: Irish Echo.
