Ballybunion Beach, Co Kerry , has lost its coveted ‘Blue Flag’ designation. It is still safe to swim in the water however. Locals blame Kerry City Council for its inadequate storm work during the recent floods.

Pres. Obama will be traveling to the G8 conference in July being held in Co. Fermanagh but he will not visit the Republic at this time. He stated to PM Enda Kenny that he will visit with him later in the year.
