Irish President Michael Higgins has announced the 2013 winners of Presidential Distinguished Service for Irish Abroad. They are Senator George Mitchell, former Intel CEO, Craig Barrett and Dr. Anne Merriman. The awards are given for peace efforts, business, education, arts, culture and sports.
