A Remembrance Wall has been erected in Glasnevin to honor not only the rebels of 1916 but also the civilians and British soldiers.  It has caused controversy among the relatives of those who died who feel that it is insulting and inappropriate to have their relatives’ names next to the British.  Two temporary alternative walls are being erected outside the GPO, one for the civilian dead and one for the rebels.
