1,436 people in Listowel, Co. Kerry, dressed as nuns, beating the previous Guinness record of 250.  The purpose was to raise money for the Pieta House which is  a charity aimed at the prevention of suicide.  Many more participants showed up than expected and the organizers had to scramble for coifs, black robes and veils.
